(rollover the logo)
In an effort to speed up the production of the Yahoo! Events Logos my director decided to have me handle the animation of the logos that Hello Design provided. Hello Design had been handling all phases of the production process since late 2004 but when request for the logos increased in 2006 the constant back and forth with creative feedback and changes really took a toll on our timelines.
My director felt that having me handle the animation process internally would greatly increase our turn around time and would also boost the quality and creativity of the logo and the decision really paid off. I took the illustrations that Hello Design created and went to town! The 2006 Halloween logos are still one of my most favorite creations.
Back in 2006 I was given the opportunity to help out with the production of animated Yahoo! Logos for special events. The logos that we ran were designed, illustrated and animated by the good folks at Hello Design. My initial contributions were strictly production based. Mainly optimizing the animation and graphics to fit within our specs.
In late 2006 I was given the opportunity to produce a logo from scratch to promote the Yahoo! Time Capsule. The request to run a Time Capsule logo came to us on short notice so we were not able to utilize the talents of Hello Design. Since I had the most animation experience on my team, they gave me the project. The logo above was concepted, designed, illustrated and animated by yours truly.
I ran into this site a while back and they’ve added a ton of content to it. It’s a papercraft site. You can download papercrafts that you can cut and paste to make an assortment of characters and objects. Check it out!
Wow! I just downloaded the WordPress App for the iPad! Now I can update this puppy without having to fire up my laptop!
Well …. it’s been almost a full year since I last touch this thing and things are finally starting to progress. I finally have enough work to post on this thing so hang on tight!!
